"Dad was absolutely delighted with the portrait, and says it's the nicest present he's ever had. He's said over and over again that he's particularly pleased with the way you've caught her expression and says that it's better than the photograph - he can't understand how you've done it! (Neither can I for that matter). So it was a huge success all round.
