Watercolour is an excellent choice where the colours in an image are part of its appeal, and a good level of fine detail is also sought. The facility to mix pigments allows reasonably good colour matches to be achieved, whilst tiny brushes enable smallest details to be recorded. Watercolour is a translucent medium, and therefore not wholly suitable for subjects with areas of very dark colours, but such paintings are feasible (see James Bond, and the wedding portrait above, or the car and motorbike paintings on my Other Subjects page). If you are looking for something different, I can produce monochrome images. I currently have an example, also on my Other Subjects page.
